Bought Hwe's bake box as a treat for myself and indeed I was in for a treat! The bakes were well thought out and put together. Lovely flavours and nicely balanced. I am looking forward to the next bake box!

Immediately fell in (pastry) love with Hwe’s baked goods when I had the good fortune of meeting her at a Christmas market last year. Ordered The Summer of ‘59 box and every pastry was a delectable, creative treat - filled with attention to texture, taste and visual detail. Especially enjoyed the mochi-filled black sesame choux. Impeccable and warm service from Hwe as well, who left a handwritten thank you note and notes on how to enjoy each pastry best. Looking forward to order from her again and again! 🙂

Celebrated Beatrice's 100 days last weekend and one of the best decisions was to get the mini desserts from a summer in hwe. So aesthetically pleasing and delicious!

The Mother's Day flash sale box was definitely worth it. It tasted so good! I will recommend to my friends.

I have to say, the experience was fantastic from start to finish. The chef who greeted us at pickup was friendly and welcoming, and the attention to detail in the curation of the pastries was evident as soon as we started unboxing them at home. Overall, we highly recommend giving a summer in hwe a try - it's clear that this is a one-person-run business that truly cares about the quality of their products and the satisfaction of their customers.

Definitely a hidden gem in Tiong Bahru. Not your atypical fluff-up IG pretty cakes... Hwe's pastries are definitely made with fresh ingredients and created with passion! And she even texted the heating instructions in case we need to consume it the next day! Bravo~

My wife and I have known Hwe since 2020 and her small batch, handcrafted pastry boxes (both themed e.g. Christmas, V-Day, and non-themed) have always been a joy to receive personally as well as gift to friends. Hwe also took on a corporate order of about >60 boxes for my company's event and the pastry boxes were (naturally) a hit with the attendees. She constantly experiments with her bakes and puts out a variety of tea cakes, pastries, scones, and even jams and marmalades so it's always worth getting a box even if you have no idea what you like. While her bakes are all stellar in their own right, IMO her fruit-based creations are always the best.

Aesthetically pleasing to the eye & it tastes good too. My favourite is the “dark cherry”. Love everything to bits; from the packaging to the little handwritten card to let you know the names of each cake. I’m already looking forward to their next batch ❤️ Keep up the good work!

Simply delightful!! The flavour of each item is unique on their own, with a perfect balance of presentation, texture and flavour. Hwe also gives great tips on how to savour them the best way. Always a pleasure to collect the boxes!

The pastries by Hwe are so well-crafted and delightful to the tastebuds, with just the right level of sweetness too. Boxes for the pastries are also packed presentably with a nice handwritten letter. The pastries are all so fragrant and the flavours for each of them were well put together (e.g. orange cardamom & frangipane loaf, hojicha cheesecake, fig & macadamia). Was so excited when the flash sale opened up again recently and ordered another box - the pastries are still as wonderful as I remember them to be. Looking forward to trying out the rest of the pastries available! 😊😋

Been following a summer in hwe for a while now - so when they finally opened orders for their bake boxes, I jumped right into ordering one for myself! I ordered the Summer Mix pastry box two weekends ago & thoroughly enjoyed the pastries/ cakes! Especially loved the hazelnut chocolate cake & lemon cake. & absolutely in love with the packaging…❤️ Will definitely place an order again!

Just popping by to say I really enjoyed the bakes so far. As a huge fan of cinnamon & palmier, I knew I had to get this box. The cinnamon babka didn’t disappoint. Very generous gao cinnamon. I love savoury scones but it’s kind of hard to find so I enjoyed this one too. I think the biggest surprise came from the muffin. I don’t know what you call it but the crumble-like topping on the muffin adds a different texture to a simple muffin. Thank you so much ☺️

I'd ordered some pastries from Hwe for an afternoon tea with my friend. The pastries are freshly baked, yummy & so pretty. They're the best I've tasted so far. Will order again in the future. Highly recommended!!

A hidden gem in Tiong Bahru. Passed by the window shop during a walk with my son & was attracted by the small cute decorations in the window. Ordered the special summer box and all pastries turned out to be perfect! We had a nice afternoon tea at home, felt so much love.

Finally managed to get the weekly special box from a summer in hwe after following them for a while. Brings me so much joy when having them, you can tell that every piece is assembled with so much thoughts from how the ingredients are paired together. Also these sweets ain't too heavy and I love it!

We were fortunate enough to be able to order two different boxes of bakes a couple of weeks back. This was our first time with a summer in hwe although I've been a long-time fan of their Instagram page. It’s been a while since my family & I have partaken in multiple baked goods & enjoyed every one which was the case with Hwe’s bakes. The items ranged from very good to brilliant. The cocoa ginger, honey crown, red pavlova, & cheese sticks were particular favourites of ours & the boxes brought a lovely warmth to our table ♥️

My only regret is ordering just one of their Summer Mix boxes! I brought it home to share with my family, & it was gone in less than 15 minutes. Not only are their pastries visually stunning, but they also taste just as amazing. The flavors are well-balanced, & the texture is perfect — not dry at all. I’ve had beautifully homemade pastries before that looked great but didn’t taste good, but that’s definitely not the case here. These treats are both a feast for the eyes & a delight for the taste buds. Highly recommend!
